May 2020 - Today
After some "football analytics" works (see blogposts and writing experiences) I had the opportunity to be contacted by the French club to work within the new sports data team.
It's a kid's dream come true.
The team is directly under the responsibility of the sporting director, and so quite close to team staff and professional players.
Our role is to help the team through evaluating team performances, creating metrics to helps transfer decisions, or doing analytics researches to find insights about opponent or league trends.
As we are a little team, my scope is very diverse: analytics stuff, machine learning development, data operations management, etc...
April 2018 - May 2020
After 6 months of end of study internship, I fully joined the data team of Maisons du Monde.
My internship project was about building a customer data platform: a tool to better automate, drive, and analyze ad campaigns. Thus it quite logical that I continued to work on it.
I also participated in the creation of customer lifetime value modelization to better address our products and communications to our customers. On the side, I also work on search engine optimization and did some NLP researches.
Joining the team with 5 people, we quickly grew to more than 20 peoples. I had the opportunity to manage two interns and lead both business and tech projects.
The stack was on Google Cloud Platform with both serverless and more classical resources. We had an old compute engine with some legacy that we had the opportunity to manage daily: I learned a lot about servers and communication protocols.
During 2017 summer, I had the opportunity to join Data & Innovation team within Le Parisien newspaper.
Working with journalists, who are not data or tech literate a lot was very interesting and helps me to better understand how "data" can be powerful.
I learn a lot about R and the tidyverse environment, making plots and data wrangling on many subjects, including election nights.
We got the opportunity to participate in the paper journal on a subject about city wealth and daily lifes : my goal was to build a scoring algorithm to
find out which city was the best to live in.
